I was at last nights show and had a blast!!! Did anyone else go?

The crowd was really mellow for the opening acts. Brian McComas and Steve Azar opened for her. There were a lot of empty seats at that time. I didn't see too much of their show because I was going back and forth between the grandstands and the fairgrounds checking on my husband and 3 1/2 year old son who was having a very good time on all the rides!

It seemed like many years had passed until Patty came on stage. I was like a kid at Christmas time! She opened the show with "Keep Your Distance" which was incredible to hear live! What a great way to kick off the show! She then went right in to "The Last Thing On My Mind." Next up was "You Don't Seem To Miss Me" which is my husbands favorite song. He was thrilled to hear that and that she sang it early in the show because he had to leave to take my son on more rides! I'm not sure of the order but here are the other songs she sang:

Tear-Stained Letter

You Can Feel Bad

Nothing But The Wheel

That Kind of Girl

Dreamin My Dreams

You Don't Even Know Who I Am

Halfway Down

Trouble With the Truth

She Drew a Broken Heart

Draggin' My Heart Around

On Down The Line

My Old Friend The Blues

Nothing Like The Lonely

On Your Way Home

Blame it On Your Heart

Lovin' All Night

Elvis (encore)

There wasn't an acoustic set which I was a little bummed about but I think the choice of songs was perfect for this crowd. There were probably not a lot of die hard fans there that would have really appreciated the acoustic portion. I was thrilled to hear "She Drew a Broken Heart" live. This was the first time hearing it live for me and I loved it!!! As for the new songs, I can't decide which I like best. They were both awesome. I was completely mesmerized by both! I also want to mention that this is probably the third time that I have heard her sing "On Your Way Home" live and every time I hear it live, I am completely blown away. It is the perfect song for her voice. I just get totally pulled into the song and the emotion of it. It was nice to hear some of the old stuff from her MCA days. This was also the first time I heard "On Down the Line" and it was fabulous. I thought about you Cole on "Nothing Like The Lonely" Patty was humming for about two minutes straight along with Deanie on the fiddle! It was incredible!!

I love the band this year and was really impressed with Kylie. I thought she blended well with Patty. It was a great show and I heard a lot of very positive comments about the new material!
