This Photo was taken on June 11,1996 at the Sony Booth at Fan Fair. She was extremely talkative, and I was NOT. I just stood there and stared at her. Lucky for me, she kept chatting me, trying to calm my nerves and make me feel better, so I wasn't so nervous. Still not quite sure why I was so nervous that time!

This was taken April 29,1997 at Cafe Milano in Nashville,TN. Patty was playing a benefit show for Battered Women. This pic was taken quite a few hours before the show, about ten minutes after Patty arrived at the venue:) She seemed pretty happy to see me, and just went, "Nicole! Thank you for the stuff on the Opry!". After that, I turned into a bawling mess. She was in no rush whatsoever, so she just stood there with us for a few minutes, and took her time as she flipped through my scrapbook. She has her hand on me because I was sooooooooo nervous and she kept telling me, "It's Ok"

This Photo was taken on June 16,1998 at Fan Fair! I was soooo worried all day I wasnt going to get to meet her so we spent half the day freaking out, running around trying to find out what was going on! After we got confirmation that she WAS going to sign there with Vince Gill, but not until a few hours later, we decided that we would swap places further back in line with someone who didn't want to meet Patty. Not long after we did that, Patty showed up on the golf cart. So we ended up having to spend extra time out in the heat, waiting, BUT, it was worth it. I was just too worried we would get up there and she wouldn't be there yet. Once we got closer to her, I just watched her signing autos and she looked up and started smiling and waving to me- and that was worth any amount of time in the sweltering heat! She was super nice when I walked up to her, hugging me and telling me how nice it was to see me again. She kept talking to try to make me feel better. She signed a poster that I had had made of she and I together from Fan Fair 1996, and after signing it, she winked at me and told me to not roll up the poster, let it dry. A few minutes later, when I had walked away ,I read she had written "Hey Girlfriend! Lots of My Love! Patty Loveless". I was quite excited!

This was taken October 14,1998 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. She was really kinda tired because she had just gotten out of soundcheck before the show, and when she came out, myself and a couple other people were out there, so she graciously came over and signed a few autographs and took photos with us. I was so glad she did, and knew I was there, because the crowd she had at the show was so unappreciative of her talents, I felt so bad for her. She put on a magnificent show. They just didn't seem to realize that!

This was taken August 3, 1999 at WSIX Studios in Nashville, TN. Patty did an interview and we got to meet her afterwards. We got there quite early, and Patty had not arrived yet. When she drove up witha couple friends of hers, she came over and promised she would come right out after her interview. She did not let us down, She came down in less than 10 minutes after her interview was over. We took (at the time) my 18 month old niece with us to meet her and Patty just loved her. Paige had given her a Tweety Bird Balloon and Patty asked her to hold it for her while she signed. Paige SNATCHED it right back out of her hands. Paige, of course, had no clue what Patty was saying, but she saw her hand the balloon back to her! Patty took her time, and told me she had read the letter I gave her at the Opry, and wanted to tell me she was sorry for what happened at Fan Fair that year (long story, but we didnt get to meet her). My favorite part was when she was leaving. She had piled her friends in her car and her assitant was looking in the gift bag I gave her. When Patty backed the car up, her assitant rolled down the window and Patty said "Nicole? I just want to say Thank You!" and winked and then they left:)

This was taken January 15,2000 at the Ryman in Nashville. She was playing the Grand Ole Opry (the night she inducted Ralph Stanley!) and we were waiting for her. It was like five degrees that January day LOL and I was freezing my butt off. I was so worried I wouldnt meet her (I worry too much lol) and she had to go in for soundcheck and stuff), so Emory came back out and I talked to him for awhile. He took her gift for me in case I didnt see her, but told me to stick around as long as I could, and he would make sure I saw her before they left. He did not disappoint. In between the two shows, they left to go get something to eat, and she came right over to me before they left. This was the first time I had actually gotten to meet and talk with Emory, and I was just majorly impressed, what a super nice guy!

This was taken March 17, 2000 and was one of the BEST meetings Ive ever had with Patty...simply because she was in a coolest mood and I was the only one there to meet her! She walked out the Ryman and said "Ohhhh I KNEW you would be here honey!!" and threw her arms around me:). She was super nice, took her time, was not rushed about ANYTHING, and just made small talk with me.She signed the collage I had, which she looked over and pointed out which pictures she thought were good, and then her friend that was with her graciously agreed to take a photo of Me and Patty.

This was taken August 3, 2000 at Emerald Studios in Nashville. She had done a late night interview and we stopped by to see her. It was pretty cool to have them come out so late and still come over to greet us. She came out with Emory, and her manager Ken (at that time). Emory took her stuff from her, including her purse. I was very impressed when he put her purse on his shoulder-- I said it took a very secure man to carry a purse:) Patty had been on the road and didn't get in until early that morning- which she said she had taken a nap, cleaned her house, and then came to the interview- so we knew she was pretty tired, so we were very appreciative that she still came over to us and signed autographs and took photos. //click for the next page//
