Last Florida Pics!

Kathy and Kelly wrote Flat Patty to tell her how much they missed her, and shared some of the photos from her last day with them! Before leaving the festival on Saturday night, Kelly and Flat Patty had some time sitting in the Strawberry Festival Queen’s Throne– appropriate!

Before leaving, Flat Patty helped Kathy with her biggest bird pepper bush–(they use these bird peppers to make pepper sauce for greens). And then, Flat Patty is surveying my mustard greens.

Before leaving Florida, Flat Patty spent some time with Jack & Maggie- trying to convert Jack and prove to him just how awesome Patty really is! We might have to start keeping a list of the number of new fans Flat Patty makes

Strawberry Festival!

Flat Patty had a successful weekend in Tampa & Plant City- making new fans, and visiting a bunch of new places, and spending time with Kelly, Kathy & Kathy’s brother and sister-in-law, Jeff & Kathy! Among the places Flat Patty visited Saturday were the campus of University of Tampa- with it’s incredible Russian architecture. She also stopped by Jose Gaspar’s pirate ship, which invades Tampa every year with Ye Mistic Crue. And then of course, the Strawberry Festival where Flat Patty was adorned with a DRIVE4COPD pin to help raise awareness (I don’t think we’ve plugged this enough— Flat Patty encourages you to take the screener at www.drive4copd.com, and vote for Patty!) for COPD.

Flat Patty also took some time out of her busy promotional tour to visit with our Queen Bee, Patty herself, who is hoping she isn’t “as flat” as Flat Patty! She also stopped and chatted with Garry Murray before he hopped on the bus to head back to Nashville.

Flat Patty will sadly be leaving Florida on Tuesday- and will definitely miss Kathy & Kelly (but will see them again later this year for sure!)- and getting ready for her next trip!

Bad Weather Day in Punta Gorda for Flat Patty

Flat Patty came to work with me yesterday afternoon. We were under a tornado watch and I wanted to keep her safe. It was a little bit chilly in my office — thus the Gator sweater. Flat Patty is pictured here behind my desk. If you look closely you will see Leslie and Kelly picture with Patty at the Smiley Hollow Bluegrass Festival in Ridgetop, TN in October of 2006. If you look more closely you will see a picture of Kelly and Cole which was taken at Patty’s show in Prestonsburg, KY in 2003- a much younger Kelly and Cole! The guy in the baseball uniform- Gov Lawnton Chiles & Gators everywhere!

Punta Gorda, FL

Flat Patty traveled 801.5 miles to Punta Gorda, FL today! She arrived safely, and is spending the weekend with some great PLNer’s, who are looking forward to taking her to the Strawberry Festival this weekend! Stay tuned for photos and the details of her trip!
